Privacy Policy

How Soil Investigation Services collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

1. Who we are

Soil Investigation Services (SIS) is a geotechnical engineering and construction material testing firm registered and operating in Pakistan. Our head office is at House No. D-479, Block 11, Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Soil Investigation Services.

For any question about this policy or about your data, contact us at info@sis.com.pk or +92 300 2146090.

2. What this website collects

This website is a static site. It has no user accounts, no database and no server side form processing. Specifically:

  • We do not ask you to register or create an account.
  • We do not store anything you type into the enquiry form on our web server. The form opens your own email application or WhatsApp with the details prefilled, and you choose whether to send it.
  • Our engineering tools and calculators run entirely inside your browser. The values you enter are never transmitted to us.
  • We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Information you give us directly

When you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send. For a project enquiry this usually includes your name, company, email address, telephone number, site location and a description of your project.

We use that information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, carry out work you engage us for, and keep the ordinary business records that Pakistani law requires us to keep.

4. Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs. These record the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time, the page requested, the response status and the browser user agent string. Logs are used for security, diagnosing faults and understanding overall traffic levels. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not sold or shared for marketing.

5. Third party services

Some parts of this site load resources from third parties, and those parties may receive your IP address as a normal part of serving the request:

  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site.
  • Google Maps provides the embedded office location maps on our contact page.
  • WhatsApp, operated by Meta, handles any conversation you start using our WhatsApp links.

Each of these operates under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

6. Cookies

Soil Investigation Services does not set its own cookies on this website. Embedded Google Maps content may set cookies in your browser under Google's own policies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings without affecting your ability to read this site.

7. How long we keep information

Project correspondence, geotechnical records, borehole logs and test reports are retained for as long as they may be needed to support work we have delivered, and to meet our professional and legal obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they remain commercially relevant.

8. How we protect information

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including restricted access to project files and laboratory records. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent to us electronically.

9. Sharing your information

We do not sell your information. We share it only where it is necessary to deliver the work you engaged us for, for example with a subcontracted specialist testing house, or where we are required to do so by law, a court, or a regulatory or approving authority.

10. Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is wrong, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Write to info@sis.com.pk and we will respond within a reasonable period.

11. Children

This website provides business to business engineering services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
